Production Transfer (Sweden → USA) + UL Certification

Industrial automation — teat spray robot (TSR2), dual-source USA/Sweden under UL requirements. New supplier qualification without stopping supply or losing product compliance.

Problem

For business reasons, production was transferred to the US to facilitate market entry and reduce lead times.

What I did
  • Led supplier qualification in the US: UL requirements, audits, tests, alignment with quality and sourcing
  • Decided on reference series and field pilot — acceptance criteria agreed with R&D and local markets
  • Defined dual-source in BOM and documentation transfer, preserving revision history, part compatibility and change records
  • After production transfer, led documentation cleanup — revisions, part compatibility and change history updated
Result

Certified source in the US activated — lead time cut by 8 weeks.

PLC Controller Modernization (HW+SW)

Industrial automation — rotary milking carousel, large active fleet (200+ locations) in the field with growing EOL pressure. Change covered hardware, software and service compliance across multiple markets simultaneously.

Problem

The existing PLC controller reached EOL — a new controller had to be brought to market in time to enable continued sales and service support for the installed base. No EOL plan blocked service, new deployments and continued sales.

What I did
  • Defined target HW/SW architecture and led trade-off decisions between compatibility and change scope
  • Decided on version compatibility matrix and compliance pathway — agreed with R&D, quality and service
  • Led EOL strategy and fleet rollout for field units and service partners
  • Led the deployment of the new controller and new software track
Result

Fleet migrated to new controller generation without incompatible version mixes in the field. Unlocked service operations, parts planning and market deployments.

Global New Product Launch — TSR2 (Americas/EMEA/APAC)

Took TSR2 from R&D completion to global launch across 3 continents in 12 months. PM responsible for hardware roadmap and sales/service readiness — sequentially: USA, APAC and EMEA.

Problem

Post-R&D, the product wasn't ready for commercialization across multiple markets simultaneously. Compliance, manufacturing, field validation, SAP structure and service readiness all had to close — without blocking the first market entry.

What I did
  • Defined market readiness roadmap and sequencing — USA first for fastest entry
  • Managed stage gates, holding scope that didn't meet manufacturing or compliance readiness
  • Made trade-off calls between launch timing, farm validation, UL/CE certification and supplier availability
  • Unlocked commercialization through BOMs, SAP structure, spare parts catalog and service readiness
Result

TSR2 launched globally in 12 months from R&D completion — sales and service activated sequentially in the US, Australia, New Zealand and EMEA.
